Dryden Galore

We spent this nice summer day to search out caches in the Dryden area. Our first attempt proved fruitless and we posted a “couldn’t find”.

Hill Top Hike (official page)
Drove the family van almost all the way to the beaver dam. Some big ruts farther down the road were to rough for comfort. Just a short walk from there. Found the hill top but could not find the container anywhere.

After this first disappointment here are the log entries for our subsequent finds.

4 Iowans Escape (official page)
Our second cache for the day and the second time we tried to find this one. Three years ago we couldn’t find it. The improved coordinates made all the difference Took the travel bug and left a dalmatian.

Hockey “Check” Cache (official page)
Our 3rd cache for the day. Took a while to find it. Cache is in great condition. Took the playdough and left a frog.

Jennifer found this one. Didn’t take anything but left a rubber duck.

Jennifer went looking for this one. She must now have read the part about the move. When I went to check how she made out I almost stepped on it. Easy find after all. Didn’t take anything but left a Saskatchewan travel pin.

GIANT Boulder #2 (official page)
Almost like a stroll in the park Nice trails to get around. Great hiding spot for the cache. Took the car and left a Saskatoon travel pin. Didn’t see a travel bug in there.
