This version is designed to fit directly onto a 40 pin IDE header. Power is supplied by a floppy power connector. This board has a straight 40 pin socket header. The adapter board mounts parallel to the system board. Since this board will take up the IDE header no master/slave selection is provided, it will always be master.

This adapter does not support hot insertion of cards.
