This version is designed to fit directly onto a 40 pin IDE header. Power is supplied by a floppy power connector. The CompactFlash card will extend beyond the board, so this solution will not work in a 1U chassis or other environment with little clearance above the IDE header on the motherboard. Since this board will take up the IDE header no master/slave selection is provided, it will always be master.

This adapter does not support hot insertion of cards.
