This is the 40 pin IDE version, designed for use with standard PC system boards. The CF connector supports type I (regular CompactFlash) and type II (IBM microdrive) cards. Power is provided via a hard disk type connector. A jumper allows this board to be installed as master or slave. Install the jumper for master, remove the jumper for slave.

This adapter does not support hot insertion of cards.
