Future ...
As opportunity arises, we hope to add useful electronics products
and components to our range of offerings. Some ideas are circuit
boards and components of current and future projects.
History ...
Adi's Electronics was established in 1988 in Sioux Lookout, Ontario.
Back then we serviced consumer electronics and TVRO satellite systems.
Over the years a variety of additional services were added to our
repertoire. We installed and serviced industrial control
and automation equipment for local industry, installed and serviced
commercial VSAT terminals for media and banking instituitons, and
branched into computer equipment sales and service.
Due to the steady and certain decline of the consumer electronics
service trade, we continously looked for other opportunities.
We became involved in the development of embedded Linux devices.
These projects required solid state non-volatile storage to provide
maintenance free operation. CompactFlash, in combination with the
CompactFlash to IDE adapters, proved to be a practical and
reliable solution. This work also resulted in the beginnings of
PeeWeeLinux,
an OpenSource embedded Linux distribution.
When Adi Linden became an employee of Keewaytinook Okimakanak in 2001,
Jennifer Linden took over the operation of Adi's Electronics. At this
time the sale of CompactFlash adapters and related products, via the
PeeWeeLinux website, became the main focus of our business.
